Raw blood is steam coagulated and the liquid is separated out through a decanter for drainage and further treatment. Extracted blood solids are delivered into a Flo-Dry Rotary Dryer where they are dried to produce blood meal. This type of plant can be integrated into a complete rendering system or supplied as a compactly constructed stand alone skid-mounted unit for easy installation.
